In honor of Gabe’s 17th birthday, we have announced our 2023 grant recipients.

In 2022, our third year since founding Gabriel’s Light, we are proud to report that our organization sustained existing efforts and launched new initiatives forwarding our mission to prevent youth suicide through education, cyber safety, and kindness campaigns. We are incredibly grateful for our loyal supporters and the many new donors that have helped us forward our important cause.

In honor of Gabe’s 16th birthday, we have announced our 2022 grant recipients.

Our hearts are bursting with gratitude for all those who made Hoops for Hope a success! To all of our participants, parents, donors, sponsors, and volunteers: we needed each and every one of you working together to make it happen.

At Gabriel’s Light, we work with our youth ambassadors to understand the warning signs of suicide and how to help people at risk. It is extremely heartwarming to see our youth ambassadors put their knowledge to use in their school and lives. We’d like to take a moment to highlight and applaud three of our youth ambassadors today - please read on!

In our second year since founding Gabriel’s Light, despite the continued challenges of a global pandemic, we are proud of the great strides made towards achieving our mission to prevent youth suicide through education, cyber safety, and kindness campaigns. We are driven by the startling statistics and understand that young people are suffering from increased mental health problems.

A study from Born This Way Foundation, an organization co-founded by Lady Gaga, shows that Kindness has a huge impact of overall wellbeing.

In honor of Gabe’s 15th birthday, we have announced our 2021 grant recipients.

We are thrilled that Freedom Boat Club Chicago chose to highlight our organization through their new initiative, Freedom Gives. They launched a new boat named Gabriel’s Light and introduce others to our mission.

Our Spring 2021 Youth Ambassadors learned about creating viral social media campaigns and helped us create and launch the #ShineTheLight campaign to spread kindness.

Just one year since we launched Gabriel’s Light, we are proud of our accomplishments to date and we see a bright future ahead.
